Women in Telecom

Women in Telecommunications is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to education and networking. We are a group of professional women and men from all facets of the communications industry. Wo-men in Telecom is dedicated to creating an ethical, innovative, and diverse telecommunications industry where all can excel.

We endeavor to fulfill our mission by hosting a regular speaker series that focuses on key topics in communications and hosting other networking events. The typical format is that we we gather for an evening of networking and discussion on topics of interest to the communications industry.

IEEE Computer Society - Silicon Valley Chapter Event February 9th

IEEE Computer Society - Silicon Valley Chapter is re-launching.
The IEEE CS Chapter is the first technical meeting, Feb. 9.

This new chapter offers monthly technical meetings on relevant computing topic areas, typically the second Tuesday of each month.

Give your feedback to the FCC for their development of a National Broadband Plan

Anita Taff-Rice and I recently attended a session co-hosted by the Churchill Club and TechNet where Blair Levin, FCC Executive Director, Broadband Initiative, and Carlos Kirjner, FCC Senior Advisor to the Chairman discussed their desire for input on the National Broadband plan.

Time is short. Get your feedback into them BEFORE they issue their plan, which is scheduled in less than 30 days. They said they plan to meet their deadline.
