Anita Taff-Rice and I recently attended a session co-hosted by the Churchill Club and TechNet where Blair Levin, FCC Executive Director, Broadband Initiative, and Carlos Kirjner, FCC Senior Advisor to the Chairman discussed their desire for input on the National Broadband plan.
Time is short. Get your feedback into them BEFORE they issue their plan, which is scheduled in less than 30 days. They said they plan to meet their deadline.
As a context for the feedback, they gave out a homework assignment I'd like to share and suggest you think about and respond to.
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF:
- All health records are digital
- Every child has a PC and/or e-book reader
- Every K-12 textbook/chapter/section is digital
- Every measure from the Grid is available
- 500 MHz National Bands
- Cable Conditional Access is not fragmented
Here are some ways you may consider sending your input and solution ideas:
Here is the link to the FCC's multiple NOIs on broadband issues:

Or, go to
www.fcc.gov, e-filing, EDOCS and type in 09-51 under Docket/RM. You'll get a list of the various NOIs, and if you click on them, you'll see the various deadlines. Comments can be filed on-line through the efiling system.
